Two firsts for the Ladies!!

MCC Ladies made an impressive start as new entrants in the Two Counties Ladies Challenge with a convincing 114 run win against Woodbridge & Old Woodbridgonian Ladies. Batting first MCC compiled 182 for 5 in 35 overs with Hannah Gordon scoring a maiden century 123 not out including 20 fours. In reply WOW struggled against the MCC bowling line up who shared 10 wickets around 6 bowlers. Lily Reynolds opened and set the standard with figures of 4 overs, 3 maidens, 1 run and 1 wicket. Kayliegh Francis cleaned up the tail with 4 wickets from 2.2. overs 0 maidens 7 runs. Also taking wickets were Mo Muldowney (2), Claire Webb (1), Beth Absolon (1) and Kirsten Arnold (1). This encouraging first game is the result of twelve month's hard work for the Women and Girls Development Squad at Mildenhall.
