Mildenhall 4th X1 had a home fixture with St Osyth and the visitors batted first. The Mildenhall attack kept good control of the run rate with Vince Colby taking 2 for 35 in 12 overs. Fliss Cleverley bowled a tidy 7 overs for 21 and James Taylor did the workhorse job bowling 15 overs and taking 2 for 52. Mildenhall suffered a disastrous last 3 overs as St Osyth plundered 50 runs enabling them to finish on 200 for 5. Sean Hennessey was not out on 77.
In reply Matt Allen (36) and Jordan Francis (13) gave the Mildenhall team a good platform with an opening partnership of 59. The day belonged to Taha Ahmed who came in at number 3 and hit a superb 67* he was supported in an unbroken partnership of 90 by James Taylor (34*) as Mildenhall chased down the runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
