  • Stewart "Stewy" Turner

  • Joined MCC in 1967 as Club Scorer at the age of 8 ! Scored more runs in those early years than I ever did with a bat in my hand! One of the old school, who believes that the ball should be kept on the ground.

    Started playing at 12 years of age,
    2nd XI captain at 19. Broke into 1st XI at 23. Medium paced bowler with a wonderful line & length. Best technical batsman in the club in my day, just couldn't hit it off the square!

    Retired in 2007 to spend my time running the bar. What a good move!
     
    Married to Mandy with 3 boys. Daniel Luke & Joe all of whom play the wonderful game.

    Committed Christian, thats why I always have a smile on my face!
