I just wanted to take this opportunity to mention Nick 'The Refresher' Allen. I had the opportunity to watch Nick on Saturday and that man can refresh with the best of them. With this in mind I've written a little Ode to Nick Allen to thank him for all his efforts.

Refresh me Nick, like you've never done before.

Refresh me Nick, though I've only just hit one four.

Refresh me Nick, I can feel my legs begin to cramp.

Refresh me Nick, for my tongue must always feel damp.

Quench me Nick, because the thirst is ever so very extreme.

Quench me Nick, I've only just come into the first team.

Quench me Nick, I can feel the shake all down my spine.

Quench me Nick, only your tasty beverages feels so fine.

Drench me Nick, I've just been hit out of the park.

Drench me Nick, cause the ball's gone in the River Lark.

Drench me Nick, I am struggling with length I'm so very dry.

Drench me Nick, that way no batsman will ever see me cry.

Refresh me Nick, as my batting is starting to take some control.

Refresh me Nick, only that cooling Allen liquid soothes my very soul.

Refresh me Nick, without your amazing drinks what would be cricket?

Refresh me Nick, but why does it have to be after every wicket?

A little bit of silliness but thanks to Nick for all he does for the 1XI at Mildenhall cricket club. Your thankless dedication to the craft of beverage replacement does not go unnoticed ;o)

I hope you see the funny side of this message and that people have a laugh and a smile when they see you but more importantly they say a few words of thanks for what you do on a Saturday.
