Match report Mildenhall 4th x1 gained promotion when they crushed East Bergholt 2nd X1 by 169 runs. Mark Thurston opened and topped scored for Mildenhall with a seasonal best of 82. Neil Clark gave good support making 70 and with Andy Francis rowed in with 35 Mildenhall closed on 243 for 4.
Rain threatened to spoil Mildenhalls chances of a win. However when play got under way the visitors were in no mood to be denied. Martin Kingdon added another 4 wickets to his seasonal tally and Mark Thurston completed a fine all-round performance as he grabbed 3 wickets. East Bergholt were dismissed for 74.Young Mildenhall players Cameron Ramset and Ashley Clark both enjoyed success with a wicket apiece
