You are warmly invited to Mildenhall Cricket Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 7pm on Friday December 2nd in the Club pavilion. It should run for a couple of hours or so.
One of the key tasks is to elect Club Officials for the next year. In particular, after nine years in the role, Tony Cornell is stepping down as Press Officer. If you are interested in filling this position, joining the Committee, or helping out in any other way, I invite you to contact our Chairman (Lou Handy), Vice Chairman (Nick Allen) or Hon Secretary (me). We look forward to hearing from you.
Also, if you have any 'burning issues' to raise, please let one of us know in advance so we can make sure that they are properly addressed on the evening.
2016 was a highly successful year for the Club, most notably because our 1XI won the Championship and were promoted to the East Anglian Premier League. Please come along to hear more about the running and progress of our Club and have your say about its future. Well-attended, participatory meetings are vital to the health of our cricket club. This is your opportunity to influence our future. If you don't have your say, you can't really grumble about the outcome afterwards!
Last year's AGM minutes are attached. The Agenda for this year's meeting, including 'Election of Officers' details, will be emailed separately.
The rest of the Committee and I look forward to seeing you there.
Kind regards
Steven Bone
