There was a very special night at Hintlesham Golf Club on Saturday with Mildenhall Captain Ben Shepperson stepped up to receive the Two Counties Championship cup and pennant on behalf of his 1st X1 team. Past England Chief selector and former test player Geoff Miller was on hand to make the presentation. Raconteur Miller proved to be on top of his game with a polished oration of cricketing stories that won warm applause from the audience.
Ben's night was made complete when he won first prize in the raffle. Joining Ben for the evening were President Tony Cornell and his wife Jean,along with Chairman Lou Handy, Life Vice President Andy Squire and 2nd team Captain Andy Youngs.
Congatulations to our near neighbours Lakenheath and Worlington who both picked up awards.
