Mildenhall 1XI travelled to the Essex coastline for an away fixture against Frinton. Mildenhall batted first and tried a new opening partnership. It was an experienced partnership in the form of Squire and Hussein. Squire managed to top score with 40. Hussein was less successful making 6. Jack Loveday batted at 3 but only scored 10. Matt Allen managed 23. Ben Shepperson's poor run of form continued as he was bowled by Westfield for 0. Adam Trett scored 29. Mildenhall managed 145 from 42.2 overs. Westfield took 3-11 and Smith took 5-32.
Frinton never looked in real trouble. Griggs made 42, Coomber 57 and Westfield was 21 not out. The target was reached for the loss of only 3 wickets from 27.1 overs. Wickets were shared between Koen, Bowman and Hussein.
Mildenhall 2XI took on East Bergholt at Wamil Way. East Bergholt batted first and scored 162 all out from 43 overs. Steve Graham took 2-51, Martin Taylor took 3-38 and Matt Heywood took 4-38.
Alex Lack was the bedrock of the Mildenhall 2XI reply with his 49 but it was skipper Steve Graham who played the innings of the day. Steve finished 73 not out and in the process past 1000 runs for the season. Jon Allen was 22 not out at the end. Mildenhall reached their target from 40 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. A much needed win for the 2XI.
Mildenhall 3XI lost against a strong Abberton 1XI. Mildenhall batted first. Clark scored 20, Mark Thurston scored 42 and Gary Du Plooy 16. Mildenhall were all out for 111.
Mildenhall took an early wicket and that was it for the day. Trussier hit 81 not out in under 12 overs. Abberton humiliating the host side. Mildenhall 3XI ended the day bottom of division 4.
Mildenhall 4XI took on Sudbury 3XI at Sudbury. Sudbury batted first. Cook scored 48 but it was Butcher with 115 not out and Boon with 64 that gave Sudbury an imposing score. Sudbury finishing on 279. There were wickets for Lou Handy (2) and Kayleigh Francis.
Andy Francis began well for the 4XI with 28 and Kiefer Renouf continued his good form with 51, Josh Jones finished with 23 not out. The main Mildenhall performer of the day was Mike 'The Hammer' Saunders with his innings of 83 but it was sadly to prove in vain as Mildenhall finished on 246 for 6 from their 45 overs. A valiant effort but a losing one. A disappointing 1/4 on Saturday.
Mildenhall Sunday 1XI won easily against Stowupland. Stowupland score 162 all out from 34.4 overs. Daniel 'Disco' Turner taking 4-32 and Ben Shepperson 2-10. Chasing the target Reuben Handy scored 24, Ben Shepperson scored a much needed 37. Steve Graham scored 47. Alex Cruickshank finished 25 not out. Mildenhall finished on 166 for 5 wickets from 29.1 overs.
Mildenhall Sunday 2XI took on Bury St. Edmunds. BSE amassed 230 from their 40 overs. Wickets were shared between Colby, Renouf, Horn (2) and Ready (3). Mildenhall finished on 190 for 7 off their 40 overs. Kiefer scored 33, RVO 32 and Dan Traher 77.
Mildenhall Ladies had an entertaining match against Thriplow. Mildenhall batted first and enjoyed a run fest. SFK scored 54, Kim scored 23. Helen scored 65. Angela finished on 65 not out and Amanda finished on 29 not out. Mildenhall scored 250 for 3. Thriplow scored 126 from their 35 overs. SFK took 2 wickets, Helen took 1, Angela took 1, Bethany took 1, Tooba took 1 and Amanda took 1 wicket. Overall a fine win for the Ladies XI.
