AGM Reminder & Player Survey

08 Nov 2017

AGM 7pm on Friday December 8th

This is a reminder that we will be holding our AGM in a month's time at 7pm on Friday December 8th in the clubhouse.  The committee would be delighted to see you there!

Our committee exists to serve your club, help it be as successful as possible, and make sure you receive the best services and experiences.  The AGM is your chance to hear about the opportunities and challenges we face, air your views, and get involved with the running of your club. This works best when as many members and friends of the club as possible come along.

As usual, we will be electing club officials for the coming year.  If you would like to have an informal chat to find out more, or to put your name forward, please contact our Chairman (Lou Handy), Vice Chairman (Nick Allen) or me.  A diverse committee, with fresh members from a variety of backgrounds and viewpoints, brings in new skills, experiences and perspectives.  It helps to push your committee to reach the best decisions for the club as a whole.

Players Survey

On the subject of members views, the committee would like to know what the widest membership thinks about various things.  So we are carrying out an online survey before the AGM. At the AGM we will feedback the responses received.

We are first and foremost a cricket club (no surprises there), so initially we would like to find out what adult playing members (including older youths who play adult cricket) think about playing formats, coaching preferences and so on.

This survey is anonymous and takes less than a minute to complete (really).  If you would like to help shape future policy on these areas please take a moment to complete the survey by Wed 22nd November (to give us chance to review the responses before reporting back at the AGM).

The survey website limits us to ten questions, so once the responses have been considered we hope to send out a further, more focused, survey in due course.

The playing and coaching survey can be accessed here Playing & Coaching Survey.  Thanks in advance for giving us your views.
