It is with sadness that I learnt of the passing of Colin Plowright. Colin was a big cricket fan and helped 

re start Elmswell Cricket Club before moving to Mildenhall to be near his family.He was a generous

sponsor of our club and member of the Sid Rutterford group. He was a regular spectator during the

cricket season. His son in law Philip Palmer was a past player for the club.

A couple of years ago I was privileged to be at the Bell Hotel to see the British Legion recognise the

work that Colin had done in helping to revive the Mildenhall British Legion and their money raising with

the Poppy Appeal..He will be sadly missed.

Our thoughts are with Philip and all the family at this time.
