Saturday saw the last game of the season .it came on a day that was one of the nicest sunny days of the year. How could it possibly be the last cricket of 2013? In a close fought game the Chairman's team lead by Mark Thurston beat the President's team lead by Lou Handy. The match details are available on the home page. Tony Cornell on behalf of the club thanked Mike Kill,Andy Carter and Ben Tippett for all their hard work in preparing the pitches for season. He also expressed thanks to John Child and Teresa Angling in bringing innovation to the scoring of the 1st and 2nd X1 games. Ben tippet and Frannie Bester picked up the man of the match awards and Andy Squire presented winning captain Mark with the Cousins Shield. Following the presentations Paul Thurston echoed the thanks and reminded everyone about next Saturday when a work party was required to put the ground to bed.
