MILDENHALL CRICKET CLUB News story

Strength & Conditioning

31 Jan 2014

Hi

The Saturday morning S&C sessions continue (in fact they did not even stop for Christmas).  During Christmas we were averaging around 12 at each session but in January that rose to 15.  Given we have (at a conservative estimate) 60 senior playing members across the 6 mens plus ladies team we are at 25%.  Hopefully as the weather improves in February we can up the average to 20.  The aim would be to be averaging 30 in March as the season approaches.  That is not as far fetched as it may seem, we had 27 for the inaugural session.

The Cricket Sub-Committee's role is to provide the opportunity to players to improve themselves; it is down to the players to make use of the opportunities provided. The S&C sessions have been fun (admittedly a bit painful at times) and built camaraderie amongst those that have attended.  So why not shake off the cobwebs and get down to MCC on a Saturday morning from 9-10.  We are there, rain or shine.  It is open to all; old (even I am not always the oldest) and young (10 years old is the youngest attendee), female or male, playing member or supporters...no one is excluded, everyone is welcome!

Cheers
Lou
