Saturday 15 November - S&C and Work Party
12 Nov 2014
Hi All
First, I am sure you know that Strength & Conditioning is back on a Saturday morning from 9-10; don't be afraid...come and join us. It is no coincidence that among those that regularly attend are two of the four Saturday Players of the Year, the Most Improved Player of the Year and the top wicket takers in Div 5 last season. S&C helps to get/keep you fit and helps maintain the cameraderie that was built up last winter and showed in the season on and off the pitch. It is so non-discriminatory it is not funny....young or old, players or parents, male or female, fit or unfit - all are welcomed with open arms.
Second, those of you who assisted in the Ground To Bed day will have seen how having modern equipment helped the process and our goal is to build on that with the aim that the wickets will be a bit quicker next season. To do that we need to have a few work parties over the winter to help Mike and Tom do the necessary essential winter work. So please come down and assist on Saturday from 10 with some work on the wickets and some soil moving. If we have 10 people it will not even last an hour, as we all know many hands etc etc.
So please feel free to come on down and enjoy the Saturday morning activities, either or both, by midday you will be showered, refreshed and invigorated with most of the weekend still ahead of you!
Cheers
Lou
