MCC Dinner..Wow we didn't see that coming!!!!

25 Oct 2015

One of the highlights of last nights brilliant Dinner Dance and Awards Evening was Lee Chipchase's clandestine staged "heads and tails" that climaxed with Craig (Bunny) Warren going down on one knee producing a ring and proposing to his partner Sue. There was not a dry eye in the house. Even better was that everyone got to play "heads and tails" again. We wish both Craig and Sue all the very best for the future.

For those of you who missed  a great night there is below a list  of award winners:

Ist X1 Player of the year JOE REED, 2nd X1 Player of the Year PETER WORTHINGTON, 3rd X1 Player of the Year ANDY ZAJAC, 4th X1 Player of the Year LOU HANDY.

Sun 1st X1 Player of the year STEVE TAYLOR, Sun 2nd X1 Player of the year JACK HORN.

Fielder of the Year MATT ALLEN. Most Improved TOM HEYWOOD

Ladies Player of the year FLISS CLEVELEY   Ladies Most Improved KIMBERLEY HANCOCK

Presidents Award went to TOM HEYWOOD for his outstanding work on wicket preparation.

TOM ALLEN and the winning members of the Suffolk U19 Twenty 20 Competition  were acknowledged with Tom being presented with the Suffolk trophy.

Chairman of the Cricket Committee Nick Allen thanked Club Chairman Lou Handy for his commitment to the running of the club throughout the year. Lou in turn presented Kayleigh Francis with a bouquet of flowers for her work in staging last nights successful event.

It was also announced that Andy Francis had won this years Fantasy League competition (full results were available at the table and will shortly be uploaded to the clubs website).

Also introduced last night was  a must have  fashion icon the " I have played with Lee Chipchase" T Shirt. There were many envious faces in the house when Kayleigh, Fliss and Kimberley were given theirs

A large crowd stayed and partied the evening away until the small hours of the night.
