Match report Mildenhalls chances of challenging for Two Counties Division One honours this season have all but disappeared after suffering a defeat against top of the table team Copdock.

In the away fixture on Saturday, Mildenhall 1st X1 were asked to bat first and in their allotted overs made 208 for the loss of 9 wickets. Richard Cross (59) claimed a half century, but Copdocks Chris Swallow who dismissed 5 of Mildenhalls middle order batsmen before they could consolidate the starts they had all made stalled the innings. Of the five Ziaf Kulasi (27) offered the best support.

Mildenhall were frustrated in their attempt to win the match. They managed to dismiss six Copdock batsmen before each had got into double figures. However a solid knock by B.France who scored 102 not out and support from T.Jervis (34) and E.Pope (24) ensured the home side won a close run thing as they got home with just an over to spare for the loss of nine wickets.
