MILDENHALL CRICKET CLUB Won Mildenhall won by 53 runs

Match report On Sunday things continued to get better as the first team took on Battisford in a Hunts County Bats Division One Match. Both Richard Cross (72) and Alex Reynolds (60) cast off their disappointments from the day before as Mildenhall racked up 273 in their 40 overs. Both Ben Shepperson (38) and Karl Holmes (31) played supporting roles. For Battisford Purchet who had finished with 4 for 53 completed a fine all round performance in reaching 114 before holing out to Blumfield off the bowling of Mark Thurston in what was by then a lost cause. Battisford finished 53 runs short for the loss of 7 wickets. For Mildenhall Thurston finished with 3 for 18 while young Blumfield took 3 for 41.
