Match report Mildenhall put last week’s disappointments behind them as they travelled to Chantrey Park to play Ipswich and East in a division one match of the Two Counties League. Batting first they had and excellent start as Chris Baugh and Alex Reynolds picked up half centuries in an opening partnership of 125. Mildenhall were able to keep up the momentum during the second half of their innings as James Holmes blasted 64 off 38 balls. Jimmy Watson weighed in with 48. Steve Lankester and Martin Taylor joined in the “run fest” with cameo 20’s enabling Mildenhall to post 310 for 7 in their innings.

Then it was Steve Lankester’s turn to show his all round skills as he weaved his slow turners through the Ipswich innings and picked up 6 for 43. Martin Taylor grabbed another two wickets as Ipswich were bowled out for 173, leaving the visitors winners by 137 runs.
