Mildenhall 3rds travelled to Abberton and with the threat of rain around played a game reduced to 40 overs. Batting first Mildenhall started well again, an opening partnership of 96 between Ryan Clark (35) and Mick Saunders (56). James Taylor continued his welcome return to form with an unbeaten 66 in partnerships with Steve Hunt (31) and Andy Francis (21) Mildenhall finishing their 40 overs on 231-4.
Abberton opening batsman J Ward led their reply with 86, however Mildenhall managed to pick up wickets Lou Handy taking 3-69 and Ben Tippet 2-50. Martin Kingdon also bowled tightly taking 1-45 from his 13 overs taking the game to the final over. However Abberton reached their target with 4 wickets in hand and 4 balls to spare.
