Match report Mildenhall 1st and 3rd X1 away fixtures were both cancelled because of the weather. Meanwhile the 4th X1 had a home match against a much-travelled Tendering side. Having made a long trip the Tendering team were keen to play. They won the toss and despite rain won the toss and elected to take to the field in the wet.
Mildenhall posted 182 for 3, this total was built round a fine knock by Mark Thurston batting at number 5 he stroked the ball to all parts in making 62 not out. All the middle order chipped in, with Neal Clark being the best, scoring 33. The lower order ran and scampered with Thurston losing two wickets to run outs in the cause to post more runs. S.Starling was the pick of the Tendering bowlers taking 3 for 46.
Tendering found their run chase too much of a task as Mildenhalls bowling attack of Alastair and Martin Kingdon picked off wickets at regular intervals. The marginally younger Alastair took 4 for 32 while Martin grabbed 3 for 49. Martin Coverdale and John Nicoll both got a wicket as Tendering were eventually bowled out for 115. The away side were to be commended for agreeing to play the match in such conditions.
