Mildenhall 4th X1 were also in a tight tussle in their match with Brockley 2nd X1. The visitors batted first and recovered from a loss of early wickets after a good 63 from number seven batsman Thompson who made 63. Mildenhalls opening bowler Martin Kingdon took 4 for 50 as they bowled Brockley out for 178.
Mildenhall looked on course as opener Paul Thurston made 48 and his partner Liam Ward hit 24. However Brockley introduced veteran Dennis Fisher into the attack and he stemmed the run rate and put Mildenhall under pressure as he grabbed 4 wickets. At the end Fishers final contribution of 15 overs 4 for 27 left Mildenhall disappointedly 5 runs short of their target.
