Match report Mildenhall 2nd X1 travelled to Copford for a Two Counties division three game. On what looked a difficult track the visitors made 247 for 9, thanks in main to Richard Cross (65) and Luke Turner (67) who added 137 together. The inning momentum was kept alive by Baird, Clark, Trett, Allen and Absolon all making double figures.

Mildenhall were welcoming back James Holmes after an injury picked up half way through last season. Captain Andy Youngs introduced Holmes as first change bowler and runnin
g in off a shortened run up Holmes reeked havoc with the Copford batsmen He hit the stumps four times and with some good fielding support he finished with 7 for 28. Ben Tippett picked up a couple of wickets as the home side were bowled out for 119 Mildenhall 2nd x1 got another 20 points and remain unbeaten this season.
