While their fellow members of the first team were left to rue the cancellation of their Saturday match, Mildenhall 2nd X1 were recording a 7 wicket win against Halstead 2nd X1 and securing promotion back to Division Two of the Two Counties league.

In the match at Wamil Way Halstead batted first and were bowled out for 107. Tymal Mills had a field day smashing the stumps of no less than six of the Halstead batsmen. He finished with 6 for 12 off 9.4 overs. Mildenhall Skipper Andy Youngs picked up 2 wickets and there was a wicket a piece for Mildenhalls two young opening bowlers James Allen and Alastair Kingdon.

Mildenhall got off to a flyer with Steve Grinling making 26. Adam Trett (44) and Ryan Clark (30*) enabled Mildenhall to post a 7 wicket win.
