Match report Mildenhall 2nd X1 were away in their match with Braintree. They batted first and difficult condition contributed in their top four batsmen making only 24 runs. Better was to come from two youngsters as Alex Lack (45) and Tom Allen (21) fought back and there was more resistance from Ashley Clark (25) and Richard Thurston 14* Mildenhall eventually posted 159 for 8.

Mildenhall had Braintree in difficulty early on as Saheed Akolade sent back three of the top order and run out claimed a fourth. Braintree however recovered with W Jackson making 67 not out supported by R Vickery (20) and R Ainsley (31*). Mildenhall had one more success when captain Youngs had Vickery caught by Lack. The home side reached their target for the loss of 5 wickets.
