Mildenhall 2nd X1 travelled to Gt Dunmow for a mid table clash in Division Two of the Two Counties league. Mildenhall bowlers worked hard through some tight bowling by Tom Allen and Martin Taylor. L. Swanston made 50 for Dunmow and the tail did well through Gibson (33) and Linney (26), however it was Jamie Allen for the visitors who had the stand out performance, taking 6 for 54 allowing Mildenhall to bowl out Gt Dunmow for 191.
Following a steady 20 from opener Richard Cross and with good contributions from Jamie’s brother Tom Allen (48) and Luke Turner 50Mildenhall 2s the visitors were able to establish a run chase. Alex Lack 22 and Andy Youngs (22*) saw Mildenhall close in on their target. It was Martin Taylor however that hit a four followed by a six that secured a welcome win for Mildenhall 2s
