Match report Mildenhall 2s were looking for a victory to guarantee their place in Division 2 next season as they hosted Ipswich & East Suffolk. The visitors chose to bat first on a green wicket in overcast conditions and were soon in trouble as Tom Allen picked up the first 2 wickets. Jamie Allen the bowled with his regular blend of experience and toothlessness also picking up 2 wickets to leave the hosts in trouble.
Mildenhall’s death bowlers Saheed Akolade (4-32) and Jack Beaumont (2-26) then restricted Ipswich & East and picked up regular wickets to bowl them out for 132 in the 44th over. S Worne deflected his was to 55 as Ipswich’s top scorer.

In reply Mildenhall were soon in trouble as despite 27 from Luke Gurner they collapsed to 63-5. Captain Andy Youngs (23*) was joined by Steven Grinling (23) as they took the score towards three figures before Grinling fell. Mark Thurston (19*) then joined Youngs as they knocked off the remaining runs to secure a 4 wicket victory.
