Match report
Mildenhall 3rd X1 took on Kelvedon and Feering on the second home pitch and for the first time a Mildenhall league team had three ladies selected to play. Fliss Cleverley,Kathryn Carter and Lily Reynolds were part of the home side that batted first. Reynolds opened the batting with Mick Saunders and the pair added 50 before Saunders was adjudged lbw. Reynolds went on to score a half century that she had missed by one run the previous week. She reached 63 before being caught. By then she and Neal Clark had taken the score passed 100. Kevin Pearson (105*) and Clark (85) then set about the opposition bowling in a partnership of 150. Steve Hunt (35) joined in at the death as Mildenhall piled on the runs closing on 347 for 4.
Mildenhalls other two ladies features amongst the bowlers however it was young spinner Jack Bowman who spun out the middle order of Kelvedon as he took 5 for 40. The away side did offer stiff resistance through an unbroken 60 run partnership between Wilton Steere (27) and Challinor (40) depriving Mildenhall of points. The visitors finished on 183 for 7.
