Match report On Sunday the 1st team once again travelled to Haverhill hoping for a completed game. Mildenhall batted first and once again lost early wickets to fall to 11-2. However Azeem Ghumman (61) continued where he had left off the day before and along with Jack Beaumont (59) the paid recorded a 119 run partnership to leave Mildenhall in position to post a good total. However, once both batsmen fell nobody else was really able to make a telling contribution as Mildenhall closed their 40 overs on 164 for 7.
In reply trialist Saheed Akolade opened the bowling for Mildenhall and produced a lively spell and had figure of 2-11 from his opening 6 over spell. Ben Shepperson also picked up a wicket with his leg spin and at the 20 over mark Haverhill were 66-3 and a close game was on the cards. However for the second day running the heavens opened and the captains once again abandoned the game.
