MILDENHALL CRICKET CLUB Won Mildenhall won by 48 runs

Match report Meanwhile in a rare Hunts County league clash of fixtures the Sunday 2nd X1 were also at home on the second square at Wamil Way. The visitors Tendering Park asked Mildenhall to bat first. Tony Cornell (36) and Kieron Davis (79) set the innings up with a 101 second wicket partnership and with good contributions from captain Andy Francis (27), Taha Ahmed (26) and Paul Thurston (20) Mildenhall posted a challenging 224 for 8.

Mildenhall were reliant on a makeshift attack with three regular bowlers absent. James Taylor and Tom Heywood did their stuff sending down 20 overs between them for only 67 runs and Taylor capturing two wickets. Then Jordan Francis stepped up to the plate, the very occasional spinner backed up by some excellent out fielding sent down 7 overs and took 5 for 39 including the vital wicket of Woolstone who made 40. Despite a defiant 46* from J. Dark Mildenhalls Ahmed and Thurston removed the last two Tendering batsmen to give the home side a 48 run victory.
