Match report Mildenhall 2nd X1 made a solid start in their innings at Lakenheath with Lily Reynolds (32) and Tom Allen adding 92 for the first wicket. Matthew Barber then put the brakes on for the home side as he took four wickets for 53. Jon Giffin (21) belatedly put bat to ball as Mildenhall closed on 147 for 6.
Tom Allen gave Mildenhall a great start to the defence of its total .He picked up 5 for 32 as Lakenheath slumped to 19 for 5. However the experience of Greg Palmer (65*) and Paul Pallant (38*) ensured that the home team recovered as they completed a 4-wicket win.
