Match report An aggressive opening spell by Jack Loveday saw the openers quickly back in the pavilion, followed by a run out direct hit by Jon Allen saw Burwell 10-3 after 3 overs. A sharp caught and bowled by Jon Allen and a run out by Alex Blumfield had the home team 49-5. Wickets continued to steadily fall with Charles Wilkens and Mat Allen sorting the tail out. In reply Alfie Marston dominated and saw off the opening bowlers with a succession of 4’s and 6’s, making a quick 32 runs. Ashley Clark then continued where Alfie left off supported by Dominic Palmer seeing MCC home with 4 overs to spare.
