Coggeshall Town CC 1st XI v MILDENHALL CRICKET CLUB 2nd XI - Sat on Sat 13 Sep 2025 at 11.30
Match was Abandoned Abandoned
Match report
The match was abandoned at the start of our innings due to bad light and rain so little to report other than:-
1) Crossey bowled 8 overs including only one wide. He also opened our innings with JKM and looked calm and comfortable at the crease. Unfortunately, the weather intervened not long after our innings started, and the game was abandoned. Well done Ben and we look forward to seeing you play next year. Good luck with the football.
2) Joshua Colairo, a giant of a man, casually hit a six onto the roof of a grand looking house on the outskirts of the ground, smashing a tile to boot. Some of the opposition were saying that it was the biggest six ever hit on this ground. The amazing thing was that he seemed to only flick his bat at it! He hit 8 fours and 3 sixes in his innings of 63 .
3) Pick of the bowlers today was that canny old spinner Murty with 3 for 22 off 8.
4) Welcome also to a newcomer to the seconds, Ronnie Need, who got the wicket of the aforementioned Joshua, caught by JKM, in his first over. He also went to school with my grandson!
That’s it folks!
See you next year and thanks for the wine
