Match report The Mildenhall 2nd X1 were at home against Elveden in a Hunts Counties Division 5 encounter. The match was played on the same wicket as on the previous day and once again runs were hard to come by. Elveden had first knock and lost half their side for 36 through some fine bowling from the young attack of Martin Coverdale and Jon VanOvermeire. Then Steve Hunt applied pressure from one end while at the other Pete Webb practiced the craft of spin bowling as he picked up 5 wickets for just 18 runs. Eleven were bowled out for 115 in the 37th over. Mildenhall lost two quick wickets before Tony Cornell (22) and Steve Hunt (66*) added a 95 run partnership that ensured victory for the home side by 7 wickets.
