League leaders Mildenhall 3rds hosted Harwich in division 5 and batting first Mildenhall made 197-4 from their 45 overs. Neil Clarke top scoring with 70 not out, assisted by contributions from Ryan Clarke (37), James Taylor (34) and Lou Handy (24).
Harwich, clearly keen to return home for the start of the England game, set about the Mildenhall bowlers from the start. However their approach also produced early wickets for Mildenhall's opening bowlers.
Lee Chipchase taking 3-63 and Tom Allen 1-16. N Cowley (52) top scored for Harwich before he was caught by Chipchase off the bowling of Chris Reeve. From then on wickets fell at regular intervals as Harwich were bowled out for 167, Martin Kingdon taking the last 3 wickets to fall.
