Match report Mildenhall 1st team made the short journey to Exning where opening batsmen Jo Reed & Tom Westley got them off to a quick start before Westley was bowled for 11. This brought Ben Shepperson to the crease, who for a partnership of 87 with Reed before both batsmen ended up at the same end and Reed was run out for 40. Shepperson played some fine strokes and with a century in sight he charged down the track and was stumped for 96. Chris Baugh made 54 before he was also stumped. Mildenhall then lost middle order wickets in the search for quick runs however Lennox Lwana (37*) & AJ Warrich (27) put on 58 for the 9th wicket as Mildenhall closed on 314-9.
O Lawson finished with 6 wickets for Exning, however these came at a cost 140.

In reply Exning never really got going, Tymal Mills took the first wicket without a run on the board. However it was the introduction of change bowlers AJ Warrich & Jo Reed who reduced Exning to 68-8. Reed took 3-50 & Warrich 4-19. Some late runs from Daniel Baigent (46*) took Exning to 122 before they were bowled out.
20 points were enough for Mildenhall to take advantage of Wivenhoe’s defeat and return to the top of the league.
