Match report Mildenhall Sunday 2nd X1 arrived at Haverhill and watched the home side lined up for celebration team photo following their league title win. Mildenhall took pleasure in spoiling the party when they achieved a narrow three run win. Mildenhall batted first and made 194 for 9. Ben Tippett continued his last week’s form with a blistering 51. Opener Jordan Francis made 36 and Peter Webb was not out on 20. Captain Andy Francis added 19.
Haverhill were always just behind the run rate following good tight bowling spells from Ben Tippett , Peter Webb and Martin Coverdale. The home side appeared to have wickets in hand to mount a charge, however requiring 9 an over off the last 5 overs proved to big a task and they fell 3 runs short having lost 5 wickets.
